EVENTS

We love getting the community together to celebrate creativity, love and skateboarding. We aim to create inclusive and open safe spaces for everyone. We enjoy hosting a range of events from BBQ’s, art auctions, skate jams, gigs and club nights, nothing is too big or small for us. Since founding skateboobs, we have been blown away with the closeness of the skate community, and we strive to make it a more welcoming space for women, LGBTQIA+, BPOC and non-binary people through hosting fun events open to all.

If you are interested in partnering with us to put on an event, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

SPIT IT OUT

Spit It Out are an award-winning organisation (SCIO) aiming to build connections and provide a platform for discussions around trauma and healing through creativity. Their approach to all the work they do is founded in the provision of education, open discussion and support on these subjects often portrayed as taboo and which can lead to trauma : Consent, Sex ed, Racism, LGBTQIA+ rights; mental illnesses, body image.

We teamed up with Spit It Out to bring Scotland art and skate workshops open to all. We hosted one session at Leith DIY, in which we supplied some awesome artists with paint to create a mural on the back wall, we supplied art supplies and BBQ to all to provide an awesome morning of creativity and openness. We also hosted one session at The Loading Bay Glasgow, which included a life drawing session followed by a skate session.

We believe creativity and skateboarding go hand in hand. Through getting together to skate and create we can open up a dialogue around taboo subjects, and create a safer and more welcoming environment for everyone within the community.
